DOK ALTERNATIBO MEDICINE CLINIC – A Personal View

The Dok Alternatibo Herbal Medicine Clinic is a ward of many possibilities.  They address the physician as Dok which is a misspelled shortcut for Doctor.  They have an invention which is a medicinal formula; a liniment which is a food supplement; a parfum that cures singao; a sex solution which is also good for goiter and tonsillitis, a beauty cream that cures acne and ugahip, and a lot of survivors who are very much different than what we see on TV.   On top of these is the Dok Alternatibo Wellness Center, a place of ultimate recourse for cases that hospitals reject.

This may seem out of this world but all these are happening with promising results at any Dok Alternatibo Herbal Medicine Clinic and Health Centers all over the Philippines and quite soon - the world.

Why Dok instead of Doc?

Doctors in herbal medicine clinics, who are non-MDs, are referred to as Doks.  The owner himself is a former broadcaster turn inventor who devoted himself to promote alternative medicine healing.  He is the founder and current Chairman of Dok Alternatibo Healing Ministry Association, Inc. which is based in Digos, Davao City with close to 60 branches nationwide today.  He is also the current President of the Philippine Society of Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Inc., a DOST scholar and a multi-awardee of his own right.

To those seeking cure, he is known as Dok Edgar Lozada Delibo, Doctor of Ministry in Alternative Medicine (confirmed by the Open Seminary in 2007).  The company is duly registered with the FDA as a manufacturer with a license to operate as a distributor.  Its main business is herbal products/clinic distribution and therapeutic massage as part of alternative medicine practice.

I have not met Dok Ed but I can say that he should be someone with passion, mission, and vision.  If he is a kind of a preacher, I have not heard this topic discussed among so many of the clinic’s patients.  Dok Ed’s interest is to prove to the world that all degenerative diseases can be cured using only his formula. 

He made it to the headlines along with his award-winning invention which is actually a medicinal formula to treat any kind of a degenerative disease.  His invention the Dok F Fulvic Mineral is the second place winner as the Most Outstanding Creative Resarch (TUKLAS) for the anti-hypertensive/Anti-Diabetic Herbal composition in the Mindanao Inventions Contest and Expo 2009.  It is also the 3^rd prize winner in Utility Model Contest as Herbal Food Supplement/Promote Good Health in the same competition.  Dok F Fulvic Mineral almost beat the top prize winner which is a machinery invention.

Cure using herbal compositions is rarely evaluated but cases are always reported through testimonies of people who are cured after using the product for some time.  There are also cases wherein people claim relief of other ailments too apart from what they come to complain for.   Dok Alternatibo clinics are flooded with these kinds of testimonies of cure and the list is growing everyday.  It is through these testimonies that a herbal preparation is proven a better remedy for a kind of illness.

Dok F Fulvic Mineral

This is the award-winning formula invented by Dok Ed.  Taken orally fulvic mineral is food for the cell.  It makes the cell walls permeable for easier transport of nutrients, extending the time for it to remain active and available.  It is anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetic, anti-blood clotting, anti-arrest stroke, and a non-acidic energy drink.  Applied externally it heals open wound, cut, and abrasion.  It is best for athlete’s foot, rashes, skin irritation and insect bites.  It is classified as FOOD SUPPLEMENT.

1)  Unsa man ang mga gikinahanglan paglukat sa Senior Citizens OSCA I.D.?
          f.  5% diskwento sa mga groceries samag bugas, lansang, gatas, karne, ug daghan pang mga benepisyo

          Birth certificate, duha ka hulagway nga 1x1 ug application form nga makuha libre sa oficina sa OSCA Head sa Municipyo sa Minglanilla.

2)  Unsa man ang mga benepisyo sa usa ka Senior Citizens I.D. Holder?

          Ang sagad nga mga benepisyo mao kini (R.A. No. 9994, 9257, 9504):

          a.  20% diskwento ug ang dili pagbayad sa 12% VAT sa mga tindahan, ospital, klinika, botika, laboratorio, otel, punenarya,   tanang sentro sa panglawas, lodging house, restaurant, ug sa uban pa. 

         

          b.  20% diskwento sa professional fees (doctor, medical attendant) ug     home-care services.

          c.  20% diskwento sa Plitehan sa bus, jeepney, taxi, shuttle service,        tren, light rail transit, barko, eroplano, ug uban pa.

          d.  20% diskwento sa mga sinehan, circu, concerto, ug uban pa.

          e.  5% diskwento sa tubig (up to 30 cu.m.) ug koryente (up to 100 kw);

4)  Unsa man nang MIMUFESCAP?

          Ang MIMUFESCAP nagkahulugan ug Minglanilla Municipal Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines.  Mao kini ang inahang-kapunungan sa 19 ka Barangay Senior Citizens Chapters sa Lungsod sa Minglanilla.

          Usa kini ka non-profit, non-stock, non-governmental organization nga rehistrado sa Securities and Exchange Commission ug sa Buhatan sa Rentas Internas.

          Sa pagka-karon ang ofisina sa MIMUFESCAP ana-a sa karaang munisipyo sa Minglanilla.

5)  Nganong magpa-miembro man sa MIMUFESCAP?

         Aron madawat ang uban pang mga benepisyo sama sa financial, medical ug economic assistance.

          Ang pagpa-sakop sa MIMUFESCAP maghatag sa katungod pag-apil sa mga aktibidades sa tibuok tuig sama pananglit sa:  General Assembly Meeting, Senior Citizens Day Celebration, sa mga kalihokan sa Pasko, Fiesta, Valentines, ug uban pang kalihokang sibiko nga pasi-ugdahan sa Lokal nga Kagamhanan ug sa MIMUFESCAP.  Mapahimuslan usab ang kahigayonan sa pagpili ug pagpapili isip opisyal sa Pederasyon, lokal o nasyonal.

6)  May balayranan ba pagpa-miembro sa MIMUFESCAP?  

          Ang usa ka kapunungan dili makabarog kong walay pundong salapi.  Busa adunay obligasyon ang magpa-miembro sa MIMUFESCAP ug ang balayranan mao kini:

          P100.00 isip registration fee (kausang pagbayad lang)

          P  50.00 isip tinuig nga membership fee

7)  Aduna pa bay laing balayranan gawas niini sa bag-ong magpa-miembro?

          Aduna apan boluntaryo ang pagapil niini ug gitawag kinig Mutual Aid o burial assistance fund.

8)  Unsa man kining Mutual Aid ug nganong angay magpasakop man niini?

          Ang mutual aid fund nga karon mokantidad nag P9,000.00 makatabang kaayo sa panahon sa kaguol kon ang usa ka miembro molalin na sa laing kalibutan.    

          Sa balayranan nga P50.00 matag bulan o P600.00 ang tuig, madawat dayon sa mga hitungdang (immediate family members) ang kantidad nga P9,000 dala lamang ang death certificate ug I.D. sa mipanaw nga miembro.

9)  Unsa man pa man ang angay hibalo-an sa maong Mutual Aid o Burial Assistance Fund?

          Angayan hibaloan sa magpa-miembro ug sa mga kabanay niya kining mosunod nga mga punto:

1. Ang first time member sa Pederasyon gikinahanglan mobayad ug tulo ka bulang advance payments nga mokantidad ug P150.00.
2. Adunay waiting period diin ang bag-ong miembro mohulat pag dose ka bulan una siya mo-qualify sa hinabang nga P9,000.00. Hinuon kon hikabsan sa kinabuhi gumikan sa bisan unsang aksidente sulod sa termino sa waiting period, aduna siyay madawat nga hinabang pinansyal apan dili ang kinatibuk-ang P9,000.00.
3. Ang late nga pagbayad sa binuwan nga P50 sa mutual aid fund gikinahanglan nga dili molapas sa duha ka bulan o 60 days aron malikayan ang pagkapaso o ang automatic cancellation sa membership sa mutual aid assistance ug sa kuyog-benepisyo niini.
4. Ang tanang gibayad sa mutual aid fund alang sa nagpa-miembro lamang ug kini dili refundable or transferable.

10) May lain pa bang angayan nga hisayran ang usa ka Senior Citizen?

          Sa mga butang nga wala maapil dinhi, palihug pakig-kita lamang sa OSCA Head o sa Presidente sa Kapunungan o sa usa ka piniling opisyal sa MIMUFESCAP kon walaymahatag nga impormasyon ang Chapter Presidents sa barangay.
